TRE has a dedicated in-house data processing center, custom built to cope with the high demands of processing Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data sets.

The processing center, at TRE's head office, Milan, has been specifically designed for high performance and to allow for the future requirements.The complex system is required to effectively process large datasets, using the proprietary SqueeSAR™ algorithm.

The architecture consists of a Linux-based parallel processing system, made up of approximately 100 servers and 180 cores for data processing and 10 CPUs for interactive session management. The system has a storage capacity of 80 TByte and is accessed via two file sharing systems.
