Providing regular updates of ground movement in near real-time.

Ground displacement due to reservoir exploitation, slope instabilities, ground excavation or natural events can be monitored with SqueeSAR™. The ability to monitor wide-area ground movement at regular intervals is useful in understanding the surface response to ground instabilities and active working, and provides data for the evaluation of risk models.
Unlike historical analysis of past ground movements, monitoring provides regular updates of ground movement in near real-time. Once a minimum number of images has been required for a baseline analysis, regular updates are provided as new images are acquired over the area of interest.
Results from SqueeSAR™ analysis consist of discrete ground measurement points, each of which has a temporal displacement. Data can be presented as single data points on a background map, or as interpolated data. Learn more about SqueeSAR™ deliverables.
Monitoring with SqueeSAR™ provides regular updates of ground movement over:
- Oil and Gas reservoirs (oil, gas, CO2)
- Natural Hazards (ground instabilities, landslides)
- Energy Sector (geothermal, power plants, dams and reservoirs)
- Transport (roads, railways, bridges, pipelines)
- Mines (open pit, underground)
- Urban Areas (groundwater extraction, flood defenses, single buildings, legal disputes)
