TRE Canada Inc

TRE Canada Inc was incorporated in January 2008, its mandate being to provide InSAR services to the North American market, based on the experience and capabilities of its parent organization, TRE.

Located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, it started operations in February 2008 under the direction of Brian Young P.Eng. and with a two people staff. In July 2008, an additional member was appointed to manage the production aspects of the company. 

The business cycle commences with TRE Canada being responsible for the marketing and sales of potential projects.  Upon signing a contract, TRE is subcontracted to perform the SAR processing. 
Thereafter, TRE Canada completes the assignment by performing the post-processing stages involving quality assurance checks, geo-referencing the InSAR data to a background digital photo, data review and report writing.

Since opening its office, the company has worked on projects from the oil & gas, geothermal energy, transportation, and hydro-electric power sectors, and is now working on an applied research project funded by the Canadian Space Agency. 
Turnover, during the 10 months of operations in 2008 exceeded $300,000 and projections for 2009 indicate that this figure should be exceeded by about 25 per cent.
Interest in InSAR is growing in North America with many enquiries being received at TRE Canada’s office from companies and organizations previously unknown to the firm.

TRE Canada Managing Director

Brian Young is a Professional Engineer with a B.SC. in Civil Engineering and an M.SC. in Irrigation Engineering.  In a career spanning 43 years, he has worked in consulting engineering, manufacturing, construction and hi-tech contracting environments, gaining business experience in more than 60 countries.  Brian brings six years of experience to TRE in the market development of InSAR services in North America, four of which were spent working with TRE as an independent consultant.
