Job Title:
GIS Analyst / Project manager
Job Description:
You will use advanced GIS tools to manage large geospatial datasets acquired by radar satellites. Your duties will mainly focus on the post-processing of InSAR datasets to ensure quality standards and to tailor them to end-user needs using GIS software and Matlab scripts. You will be expected to liaise with clients to understand their requirements and meet project deadlines. There will also be opportunities to support marketing and sales efforts by attending company booths at conference exhibitions and making presentations at technical conferences.
The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in GIS, particularly ESRI ArcGIS software, be familiar with Matlab and have a basic understanding of remote sensing. Knowledge of InSAR is an asset.

Background: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Geosciences, Civil Engineering. Geotechnical Engineering or similar

TRE's activities can be divided along the following lines:
Production: the processing of radar imagery with the use of dedicated software. We require experts in the processing and interpretation of radar signals.
Research: research in the field of satellite remote sensing, the development of processing algorithms for highly complex studies.
Network security: the installation and configuration of protection systems (Firewalls, IP security). The highlighting of potential points of outside intrusion and testing of already installed security.
Marketing & communication: strategic positioning, the evaluation and realisation of new business opportunities, the commercialisation of products and services and off/on-line communication.
Administration & general services: administrative activities, creating of accounts and related matters, fiscal obligations and buying.
Many reaserch activities are carried out in tandem with Politecnico di Milano via masters and doctorate opportunities.
