As part of its ongoing cooperation with the Italian Department of Civil Protection, TRE is continuing its work on the Abbruzzo earthquake of April 6th.
Three new co-seismic interferograms of the earthquake, derived from both ESA ENVISAT and the CSA RADARSAT satellites, have now been produced (see also our previous news).
The accurate assessment of fault displacement and orientation will provide valuable input to seismologists for modeling the earthquake mechanism.
All data were immediately available to the Italian Geological Survey.
The following images show the new seismograms.
